CAIR Loses Tax-Exempt Status
INTERESTING NEWS came out of the Internal Revenue Service on 22 Jun 2011 ..
CAIR has LOST its 501(c)(3) /TAX-EXEMPT/ Status .. for violations of the reporting requirements ..
Here’s what is missing .. and why they lost that status ..
– “Under a new federal law, effective starting for tax years ending on or after Dec. 31, 2007, if an organization fails to file either Form 990-N, Form 990 or Form 990 EZ for three consecutive years, its tax-exempt status will automatically be revoked”
– “The annual reports include financial information on donations and other sources of income, operating expenses and names and payments given to directors and key staff members.”
(NOTE: The CAIR Foundation won exempt status in 2007 and then never filed any annual reports)
Therefore .. by NOT filing these reports .. CAIR Was automatically PURGED from the list of Tax-Exempt Organizations ..
(AND .. more importantly … DONATIONS to CAIR is no Longer Tax Deductible despite what their website states!)
Taxpayers pay for THIS?
I am curious, not why, but HOW the MSM gets away with avoiding bloody news when it has thrived so many decades on just such sensationalism. When President Nixon had some amateur burglars break into the Democrat Party stronghold in DC, we nearly died from overdose by the repitition day in and day out until Nixon resigned.
